Lately, it's been super hot in New York City. The early morning is one of the only times you can play outside without getting cooked. This morning, I went downstairs and played in my secret tree fort. I like play explorer; I was looking for wild monsters, like yetis or giant hot dogs.
Instead I saw Violet coming up the front walk! I knew she was coming to visit me, but I didn't know she was arriving today. Violet said she a great time riding through our new neighborhood. She wanted to explore it right away, but it was really, really hot, so we decided to go upstairs.
Violet is a champion at Connect Four- especially using the purple pieces. I thought I would never win, but Violet taught me a few tricks. After that, we would fill up almost the entire grid before someone won.
Later on, I got out my animal notebook and explained my plan to fill the whole book with animal facts and pictures. Violet thought it was a great idea; she had a whole list of animals to suggest!
I'm super happy that Violet is here. She knows all about exploring and I know she'll help me learn my new neighborhood really well.
Hi guys! I haven't written in my blog in ages, and here's why- I moved! My family decided to get a new apartment that's better for our family. We've been here a few weeks now, but I haven't been able to set up my room. All my things were in boxes! Here's a tip if you ever move- make sure you label your boxes really well. Otherwise, it will take you ages to find your toys.
Since I have a new bedroom, I thought I would set up my furniture differently than at our last apartment. My bed is the one on the left. The bed on the right side is for when I have sleepovers. What do you think of my new room?
This is what my old room looked like after I packed up all my stuff and the movers took away the night stand. I miss it a lot, but I am excited to start life in our new neighborhood.
What do you think is the best way to make new friends when you move?
